Revised Alabama Notary Public Law Goes into Effect September 1, 2023
Tuskegee, AL – August 28, 2023 –James Cooper, Macon County Judge of Probate

The Alabama legislature recently revised Alabama's laws relating to the appointment of notaries public and the notary public office. These changes become effective on September 1, 2023. All currently serving notaries public are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these changes.
The Alabama Probate Judges Association's Internet website has information about these changes, the new application form to be utilized and the new training program.
